Appointment Schedule
Dr. Dunbar sees patients on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 5
p.m. and Friday mornings from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. She is unavailable to see
patients on Mondays and Wednesdays as these are the days she performs
surgeries. Please call Julie at 650-364-3488 to make an
appointment.
Julie is Dr. Dunbar's office manager and will be your first contact with
our office. During this first call, she will ask you to describe your
condition in detail and will schedule your appointment date and time. She
will also find out about your insurance and payment needs and may also
schedule you for xrays to be done prior to your appointment. Dr. Dunbar
will receive and study all available information on your condition before
you arrive for your first visit.
Preparing For Your First Appointment
- If you are a new patient, you can download and fill out the patient
information form by
clicking here. Bring it with you to your first appointment.
- Have you had xrays or an MRI? If you have had these taken at Sequoia
Hospital, please let us know in advance so that we may request them from
Radiology prior to your visit. If you have had them taken elsewhere,
please bring with you to your first visit.
- If you have them, also bring the results of any other studies you
have had done relating to your condition.
- Bring your insurance card. (Click here
to see Insurance Information)
- If your insurance is an HMO, EPO, or POS, you must obtain a referral
from your primary care physician prior to your appointment. You may
bring it with you or have it faxed in advance to us at (650)364-3484.
- You may also want to bring a list of questions that you have. Dr.
Dunbar will take the time to answer all of your questions clearly, and
thoroughly.
Physical Therapy: What To Expect
Dr. Dunbar will be actively involved in your
treatment and post appointment care from start to finish. Our office will
provide you with a complete list of referral options for physical therapy,
depending on your individual needs and your insurance coverage.
Would You Like A Second Opinion?
It is common for patients to talk with more than
one doctor regarding their condition. Should you choose to do so, we will
be happy to give you a list of respected local orthopaedic surgeons who
can provide an accurate diagnosis as well as recommendations for
treatment. These doctors participate in all major insurance plans.
